The Amputee Coalition Values in Action Awards are inspired by the Amputee Coalition Board of Directors and staff's organizational values, which encompass accountability, compassion, improvement, innovation, integrity, respect, service, and teamwork. The Values in Action Awards are dedicated to recognizing community member volunteers who have made valuable contributions to the Amputee Coalition. Each year, on behalf of the Board of Directors and Amputee Coalition staff, the Values in Action Award recognizes volunteers for their commitment and dedication to volunteering and supporting the Limb Loss and Limb Difference Community.

Each year, the Amputee Coalition's Volunteer Engagement Committee selects individuals from our community who exemplify these values in action. The Volunteer Appreciation Award is presented annually during the Amputee Coalition's National Conference to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions.
Nomination Criteria
To be eligible for nomination, an individual must be part of the Amputee Coalition's community, living with limb loss or limb difference, serving as a caregiver, or providing significant support to our community.
